I was ordered to sell my home because of a judge who changed my divorce decree put there for a reason and because her association was an aquainted one with my ex. I needed six months to refinance home due to loss of emloyment. There was no time limit put on refinancing and i paid faithfully. Yet this judge ordered me oit of my home of 27 years and orderwd ot auctioned. Auction fell through bit i had to leave. Now im homless..house is vandalized and they say im responsible! How unjustified is this? Terrible amd corrupt.

“I know what’s legal, not what’s right. And I’ll stick to what’s legal.” And: “This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast—man’s laws, not God’s! And if you cut them down, and you’re just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then?”
But I would change “just the man to do it” to “all of you who play as judges, lawyers and guardians in the Family Court System are just the people to do it…” and then ask of all of those – DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT YOU COULD STAND UPRIGHT IN THE WINDS THAT WOULD BLOW THEN? Can you answer for that which you are allowing?
Otherwise, every other comment from every other state applies to West Virginia. Oh no, the Great State of West Virginia is not at all immune!
The WV family court is filled with bad Judges, lawyers who lie in court and stick you in a system in which you can never get out of. I was married to an Attorney and he and his good ol boy friends completely stole everything we had built for 28 years. My husband was an addict and alcoholic who held me at gun point for over an hour in our home. WV is 50\50 state but I got nothing. Now my ex-husband died and I am in a bigger mess trying to fight with my children just to keep my retirement. Also my attorneys says hes doesn’t think we were even legally divorced. SInce we had no final hearing and the judge had no final hearing to ask if we agreed on the settlement. SO I am writing a book and fighting the system.
