I naively thought, as I was dragged into the frontlines of the family court system, that the truth, ample evidence and eyewitness accounts would prevail. I was wrong. I was vilified and the abuser was vindicated. I cannot sit by and let each person who comes after me go through this experience alone, with no resources, and be hung out to dry, as I was. It is not an unfair system, it is an unjust system. Those in positions of power and control are protected by an umbrella of immunity and care not for the child victims. It is a cat-and-mouse game where the sport is tormenting you, the protective parent. If you think you were a victim before you entered into this arena, think again. You ain’t seen nothin’ yet…
